Timothy Fox
President

 

Timothy Fox served as an officer in the United States Air Force and is currently the owner of Timothy Fox Accounting and Bookkeeping practice, which has been in business for 40 years. He received his BBA at the University of Texas in Austin 1970 and a MBA at the University of Texas in San Antonio 1974. He has been an owner at Port Royal for 5 years.

 

In addition, Timothy serves as President of Seguin Independent School District Board of Trustees, VP Guad County Appraisal District Board of Trustees, and as President of Kiwanis Club of Seguin, Lt. Gov Kiwanis Club International.

 

His family includes his spouse – Patricia, daughter – Alison (husband Grady, 4 Children) and daughter – Courtney (husband Evan, 3 children).

Brett Blessing
Vice President

 

Immediately following high school, Brett entered the law enforcement field. He served 13 years as a deputy sheriff, then ran the family fast food restaurant business for a number of years. After that, he entered the world of real estate as a realtor for Century 21. During that time, he has acquired rental properties which became his full-time career for the past 20 years.

 

He has several continuing education/certifications such as – licensed Texas peace officer, licensed realtor, trainer for license to carry firearm, daycare care-giver certification (one of the buildings he owns is a daycare), and various other certifications. He loves riding motorcycles with his friends when the weather is good and has ridden to Port Royal on a couple of occasions. His longest ride to date was from Seguin, Texas to Sturgis, South Dakota and back. He has been an owner at Port Royal since March of 2015.

 

Brett also serves as the president of the Seguin Police Department’s training review board. Their duty is to oversee and approve all training for the police officers and ensure that all officers are up to date on their training.

 

He is the father of a 24-year-old son who works as an I.T. tech in Austin. His mother owns and runs a daycare business (one of the most difficult business Brett has ever seen in his life) which he also owns the building mentioned earlier.

Patricia Bell
Secretary

 

Patricia is the Director of HR for Port Royal Resort and Conference center.  Additional industries include telecommunications, consumer services, IT consulting and the Oil and Gas sector.  Her areas of expertise are Leadership Development Training and building human resources as a strategic, organizational partner.

 

Pat became a certified Toastmaster and thoroughly enjoys public speaking.  She held the office of President for the Texas Business Women’s organization from 2014 – 2016.  In addition, she is a recent SCORE mentor for the Corpus Christi office, and has been at Port Royal as an employee in July 2017.

 

Pat is the mother of three grown children and the proud daughter of a retired U.S. Air Force Veteran and sister of U.S. Navy Veterans. Her passion is to assist Port Royal employees to thrive in their ever-changing environment.

Mellissa Shackelford
Treasurer

 

Mellissa began working in accounting in 1998 for a general litigation firm as a Trust Accountant for 5 years.  She then spent 3 years with Tarrant Partners, an equity investment firm based out of Fort Worth, as a Staff Accountant. In 2008, she relocated to Port Aransas to open Palmilla Beach Golf Course (formerly Newport Dunes) and served as the Controller for 8 years. She has been the Director of Finance for Port Royal for the last 3 years.

 

Mellissa enjoys fishing, hunting, walking and attending local community athletic events. In addition, she has previously volunteered for the Port Aransas Little League and the Port Aransas animal shelter. Most of her free time is dedicated to her family. She has two sons that are 9 and 17, both of which have very active hobbies and interests.

Renee Warner
Director

 

Renee is a proud Texas public school educator with 20 years of experience. In 1996, she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Speech Communication with minors in Management and English at Tarleton State University. In 2001, Renee graduated with a Master of Education – Educational Administration through the University of Texas at Arlington. In 2009, she completed her Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies through Tarleton State University.

 

She enjoys running and spending time with her family. Her and her family owned a unit at Port Royal for 3 years. Renee has mentioned her and her family look forward to their travels to Port Royal. She says it truly gives them the opportunity to relax and enjoy the Gulf Coast. The people they have met at Port Royal and Port A make it a destination they want to visit often.

Lynn Thompson
Director

 

Lynn, along with her husband, Jim, have been self-employed as computer consultants for 20 years. She specializes in data system selection, design, specs, mapping, and custom applications. Currently, she is also involved with light industrial and retail real estate investments/property management.

 

Lynn graduated from Southern Methodist University in Dallas with a MBA, BS in Psychology, and BA in Political Science. Her hobbies include travel, volunteering, crocheting, and of course, beaches. Her and her family bought their first unit in 2000 and the second one years later. She is so happy they did!

 

Lynn’s current volunteer and board services include St. Luke’s Lutheran Health Ministries Foundation, President, United Way Masters Leadership Program, and Impact San Antonio. She previously served 9 years as a trustee for Alamo Heights ISD. She also enjoys many activities at First Presbyterian Church, San Antonio.

 

She also has two sons, Will and Jim, who she says have “Amazing wives” (Natalie and Kelly).
